Paragon Corporate Housing Bedroom, Full Kitchen, Living Room in a furnished apartment

Booking Corporate Housing for Your Team with Paragon: Common Questions

These are the questions we hear most from HR and mobility teams before booking.

Can't find yours?

How It Works

How does booking corporate housing with Paragon work?

It starts with a quick conversation about what your team needs. You tell us where your people are going, when they arrive, and how many employees are moving. Every company has a different setup, so we adapt to your requirements. Whether you have interns staying for three months, a rotating crew, or a major project coming up next year, we customize the options for you.
Once we know your timeline, we share a few apartment options and clear pricing. When you find the right fit, you can hand the logistics over to us. We handle all the background work, the setups, and the keys so your employees can walk into a fully prepared home, unpack, and get settled.

How is corporate housing different from a hotel or short-term rental?

When your employees stay for weeks or months, a hotel room starts to feel small. A mini-fridge, takeout every night, and a shared laundry room get old fast. Corporate housing gives them a furnished apartment to live in. They get a full kitchen with full-sized appliances, a private in-unit washer and dryer, and separate spaces to relax and unpack. Most of our properties also have amenities like a pool and a fitness center.

Mail and packages matter on a longer stay, too. Hotels and short-term rentals often can’t accept mail or packages for guests. In a furnished apartment with us, your employees can receive both, whether it’s a work shipment or something from home.

A short-term rental can work well for a quick trip. For a relocation or an extended assignment, you want the same setup every time. We offer the same standard of care across all of our locations, so you know what your employees will find. We handle the housing details, and your team can focus on the work.

How far in advance can you confirm availability?

If you're looking to book into our core markets, we can tell you our availability about a month out. If we're setting up new apartments for your team, we have more flexibility.

Pricing and What's Included

How much does corporate housing cost?

Pricing varies by location and season, much like a hotel, but the cost becomes significantly more budget-friendly the longer your employees stay. If you partner with us as a preferred housing provider, we can lock in rates to help with your budget forecasting.
The biggest financial benefit for your company often shows up in your travel per diems. Because our apartments include full kitchens, an in-unit washer and dryer, and complimentary parking for one vehicle, your employees spend much less on dining out, laundry services, rideshares, and hotel parking fees. They also get a comfortable, home-like living experience that keeps them rested and productive while traveling.

What is included in the monthly rate?

Base rent, utilities, WiFi, furniture, housewares, one parking spot, and guest support.

Are there extra fees, such as cleaning, pet or parking fees?

There are no surprise fees. Parking for one vehicle is included. While standard checkout cleaning is part of the stay, regular housekeeping can be added to your booking and built directly into the nightly rate.
Pet fees are determined by the individual apartment communities and vary by property. Generally, these communities charge a one-time non-refundable fee, a refundable deposit, and a monthly pet rent per pet. We will break these costs down for you before booking if your employees are traveling with pets.

What affects pricing?

A few things shape the price. The first is the market. Rates in central metro areas run higher than in smaller, suburban or rural towns. The second is the season. Summer is our busiest time, and availability gets tight in our most popular areas. The third is the services you add. Housekeeping, for example, can change the rate. Tell us what your team needs, and we’ll put together a quote.

Locations and Availability

Where are you located?

We have furnished apartments & local staff in California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

What if you're not in the market I need?

We can still handle your housing needs through our trusted network. We have an extensive network of industry partners that allows us to source quality apartments outside of our core markets. If your team is traveling to an area where we do not manage properties directly, we will partner with a local provider to secure the housing for you, keeping the whole process easy for your team.

Can you house a large group in one building?

It depends on the property, but we always work to keep your team as close together as possible. Some apartment communities do not allow corporate leasing at all, while others limit the percentage of units they lease to providers like us. This limit is known as a corporate max. If a preferred building cannot accommodate your entire group due to these restrictions, we will secure apartments in neighboring communities within the immediate area to keep your team together.

Stay Length and Changes

What is the minimum stay length?

This varies by market. We have a little more flexibility in Washington for shorter stays of 7+ days. In our other markets, 30 day stays are our minimum.

Can we extend or shorten an employee's stay?

We welcome stay extensions whenever possible, subject to apartment availability. We will always do our best to accommodate these requests and adjust our schedule to keep your employee in the same apartment. While you can shorten an agreed stay, the financial responsibility for the full original lease term remains with your company or the employee.

What is a notice to vacate (NTV)?

We ask for a 30-day notice before an employee moves out, though this can vary by market. Knowing the exact departure date gives us enough time to clean, prep, and book the apartment for the next guest without large stay gaps.

The Apartments

What types of properties are available?

We work exclusively with apartment communities. We have long-standing relationships with our communities. Paragon seeks out premiere properties for our clients because they prefer great locations, properties with resort-like amenities, and upgraded apartment features.

What's included in the apartment?

We often say our guests only need to bring a suitcase. Every move in begins with a complimentary welcome kit stocked with water, snacks, coffee, tea, and essential soaps. We know exactly what it feels like to arrive after a long day of travel, only to realize you have to scramble to a grocery store for basic necessities.

We manage the small details so your employees don't have to.

Are pets allowed?

Most of the time, yes. The apartment communities we partner with have their own individual pet policies, but the majority of them do allow pets. Generally, these properties limit occupancy to two pets per apartment, and some enforce specific weight and breed restrictions.
Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are accepted but require an official provider letter. Up to date vaccination records and medical history will likely be required for all pets before move in.

Can employees bring family?

Yes, families are welcome. State law sets occupancy limits, so we follow those in each market. When your employee is ready to book, they tell us who is coming, and we find the right apartment to suit their family's needs.

What does your furniture look like?

These are some examples below:

Contracts and Billing

Who signs the lease, the company or the employee?

Either one works, and the choice is yours. Some companies prefer to sign as the company, which is common for smaller teams. Others have many employees moving in and out, and it’s easier for each employee to sign their own lease. Tell us how your program runs, and we’ll set it up to fit.

How do billing, invoicing and payment terms work?

We bill a nightly rate with net 30 terms.

What background or credit checks are required?

Occasionally, an apartment community will require a background check for our guests. When this happens, we act as a liaison between the apartment community and your employee to pass along the correct forms and return them to the property.

Is renter's or corporate liability insurance required?

Renter's or corporate liability insurance is not required. While your employees are welcome to get their own renter's insurance if they choose, it is completely up to them. We do not require corporate liability insurance either.

Support During the Stay

What if something goes wrong at an apartment?

If something goes wrong, which happens, we are always here to help. We have a 24 hour emergency line for after-hours emergencies. If something is broken in an apartment, the guest would contact us to create a work order and our team would handle coordination with apartment maintenance. The guest's role would be to allow entry for maintenance. Most work orders are resolved within 72 hours.

Do you have local teams in the cities where our employees will live?

Yes. We are local to each market we serve. A Paragon team member in your employee’s city is always there to help if something comes up during the stay.

How quickly do you respond?

We answer emails within the hour during business hours. If a message comes in after hours, we respond first thing the next business day. For phone calls, we pick up right away or return the call within the hour.
We also maintain a dedicated after-hours emergency line to support employees with any urgent issues at night or on weekends.
If a guest submits a work order for a minor maintenance issue, we have it resolved within 72 hours.

Interns and Project Teams

Do you house groups of interns?

Yes, we do. Here's how we can work with you to house your interns.

Can you house a project team?

Yes, we can.

Booking Direct

Can we book with you directly if we use a relocation company or booking platform?

Yes, we work directly with relocation management companies (RMCs) and are glad to coordinate through yours. Because third-party booking platforms vary significantly, just let us know which platform your company uses. We will look into the details and find the easiest way to manage the booking for you.

Can we set up a preferred or sole provider arrangement?

Absolutely. We would love to be your preferred provider.

Let Us Welcome Your Team

Since 1996, we have invited professionals to live like they're home in new cities. We track our guest satisfaction closely because we genuinely care about the experience your employees have. We are not a massive corporate operation. We are a team of humans who love hospitality and take real pride in what we do.
